ABOUT US

Intercontinental Road safety Probe Confederation (IRSPC) is an international road safety organisation that includes representatives from organizations across the world, such as NGOs, NPOs, and CSOs in collaboration with Local Government Agencies, Police/Enforcement, Educational Institutions, Health Institutions, Research Agencies, Driving Institutes, Motor Associations, Insurance Organizations, Legal Professionals, Corporates underneath CSR, and Road Safety Professionals.

 

IRSPC aims to reduce the number and severity of road collisions (and therefore to reduce loss of life and personal injury) by raising awareness of road safety and safer road user behaviour with the road using public, through the provision of training, advice, information, leadership, research, publicity, informed comment and other services to relevant bodies (International, national and local) and to its members.

IRSPC with its members plays a significant role globally in an effort to make our roads safer. The mission of the IRSPC now is to encourage, foster and enlarge this network, with an energetic vision of reducing the number of road casualties in globally by 2030.

 

IRSPC works to develop a range of educational initiatives in partnership with its members and extensively publicize to encourage the international debate on road safety.  IRSPC aims to inform public opinion by making available more information on the road safety issues, working with other organisations to accomplish shared goals.

These goals include:

 

  • Recommending and petitioning governments and contributing to consultation on road safety policy.

  • Identification of attainable road safety issues for national integration.

  • Contributing to its members with information on national and international road safety and connected issues.

  • On the lookout for national recognition for road safety issues, predominantly where there may be conflict with current union government policies and programmes.

  • Reassuring the implementation of common policies and elevation of best practice by member organizations and other like-minded organisations involved in road fatality reduction.

  • Providing prospects for working in partnership with local communities and private entities to reach active community commitment for promotion of road safety education and standards, particularly in authorizing and producing resources.

  • Encouraging small, medium and large-scale industries to address road fatality reduction through work based policies and ingenuities for employees.

  • Ordinating and subsidizing to research into the behavioral aspects of road calamities.

  • Working with the print and electronic media to provide professional knowledge and advice.

  • Publishing booklets that identify and promote best road safety practice.

  • Incorporating a Road safety Forum for sharing ideas and programmes.

  • Working with other organisations and communities to initiate national road safety campaigns.

  • To slot in IRSPC Vertical Portal which regularly updates news/ stories on road safety issues globally.

  • Produce a monthly compilation of news from across India called the Road Safety Reporter.  

  • To provide its members with information on the latest road safety initiatives and research conducted by its members through its quarterly Road Safety Network Newsletter.

  • To provide information on local, national and international conferences and workshops focused on road safety issues.

  • To host the International Multidisciplinary Road Safety Conference (IMRSC), a yearly conference which attracts Indian and international representatives.  The conference features panel discussions and paper sessions that keeps attention on “Policy and Practice” and “Research and Evaluation”.
